Online store questions
- What is the auto-generated online store?
- It is a web store built from the catalogue you already keep in the POS: products, variations, prices, photos and stock. It comes with every plan and updates when the POS changes.
- Do I need to build a separate website to sell online?
- No. The generated store is enough to take orders online. A designed, managed website is an optional upgrade if you want more pages, your own design and marketing.
- Does online stock come from the same count as the store?
- Yes. Online orders and counter sales draw on the same stock for the location the store is linked to, so you do not oversell.
- Can customers order for pickup?
- Yes. Click-and-collect from your location is the most common setup for hardware stores; you prepare the order from the bin location and the customer collects.
- Can I hide trade-only or bulk yard items online?
- Yes. You choose which categories and items are published, so trade-only stock or items you only sell with advice stay off the web store.
- Can contractors see their trade prices online?
- The generated store shows your published selling prices. Trade pricing is applied at the counter and on quotations; ask on a demo if you need a trade portal.
- Does it work with WooCommerce?
- Yes, as an alternative: a WooCommerce connector can sync products, stock and orders if you already run a WooCommerce site.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. Point your own domain or a subdomain such as shop.yourstore.com at the store; we help with the DNS record.
- How do online payments work?
- Online card payments run through a payment gateway in your name; cash or card on pickup also works. We do not hold the money.
