Country and tax questions
- Which countries is Hardware Store POS sold in?
- The United States, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, each with its own prices, tax display and payment habits.
- Is it a multi-currency POS?
- Each business runs in its own currency (USD, AED or PKR), with number and date formats to match. Purchases from foreign suppliers can record an exchange rate.
- Does it handle UAE VAT?
- Yes. Set the 5% VAT rate, show VAT-inclusive prices, print your TRN and a tax invoice layout, and use the tax report for your return. You or your accountant still file with the Federal Tax Authority.
- Does it handle US sales tax?
- Yes. Set tax rates per location, combine state, county and city rates into a tax group, and mark exempt customers. Remote-seller and marketplace rules are your accountant's call.
- Does it handle Pakistan sales tax?
- Yes. Set the rates that apply to your registration, print NTN/STRN on invoices, and use the tax report. FBR point-of-sale integration is not included.
- Is it certified for e-invoicing or fiscal printers?
- No country certification is claimed. A ZATCA (Saudi Arabia) e-invoicing module exists for the base platform; for other e-invoicing schemes ask before relying on it.
- Can I run stores in two countries?
- Each country is usually its own business account because currency and tax differ. Ask on a demo if you need combined reporting.
- Why are prices different in each country?
- They are set for each market's buying power and competitors, in round local numbers, not converted from dollars.
