From sign-up to selling, with the time each step takes

No install and no technician visit. The honest times assume your item file is already in a spreadsheet; cleaning a messy one takes longer, and we help with that.

Sample These drawers hold sample reviews written to show the problems this edition is built to solve. They are not quotes from real customers yet; real, attributed reviews replace them after launch.

Your counter staff read the screen in their own language.

The interface and the printed documents can run in Arabic or Urdu right-to-left, in Spanish, or in English, and every label is editable. This website speaks the same four languages.

Where general retail POS makes a hardware counter work around it

General POS tools are good at a café or a boutique. A hardware counter needs a few things they treat as extras. Here is the short version; the full, sourced comparisons are linked below.

Need at the counterHardware Store POSTypical general POS
Sell one item by box, piece or lengthUnits + sub-units on every planOften separate items per pack size
Contractor credit limit + pay termsPer customer, sell on accountOften add-on or invoicing app

Your contractor customers need websites too.

Our sister studio builds websites for plumbers, electricians, roofers and builders. Pass it on to the trade accounts you serve; it is the same family as this POS.

Hardware store POS questions, answered

Straight answers to what owners ask on demos. The rest is in the help centre.

What is Hardware Store POS?
It is cloud point-of-sale and inventory software made for independent hardware stores and building-supply yards. It handles large catalogues, selling by the box, piece or length, rack-row-position bin locations, contractor accounts with credit limits and pay terms, and quotations, and it builds an online store from your catalogue.
Can it really handle 30,000 or 60,000 SKUs?
Yes. There is no SKU limit on any plan. You import the item file from CSV or Excel in batches, and lookup at the till works by barcode, SKU, supplier code or name. See bulk import.
Can I sell a box of screws and a single screw from the same item?
Yes. Set the base unit (piece) and add a sub-unit such as "Box = 100 pieces". The till lets the cashier choose the unit, prices each one, and keeps stock in pieces. More on units of measure.
Do contractors get their own prices and credit?
Yes. Put contractors in a customer group with its own price group, set a credit limit and pay terms on each account, and sell on account at the counter. Balances and due invoices are tracked per customer. See trade accounts.

Bring 50 rows of your item file. We'll show you the till.

Book a demo and we will load a sample of your own products, with units, bins and a contractor quote, so you see your store, not ours. Or start the trial and import it yourself.
