Hardware store quotes software: from materials list to sale in one click
Quotation software lets the counter price a list of materials for a customer before they buy. In Hardware Store POS a quotation uses live prices, units and the customer's trade pricing, can be printed or shared as a PDF, and is converted into the final sale when the customer accepts.

!The problem
Why quoting in Word or on paper loses jobs
- 1Prices in a typed quote go stale; the counter then sells at a different price than was promised.
- 2Retyping an accepted quote into the POS doubles the work and the mistakes.
- 3Builders compare quotes from three suppliers; the fastest clear quote often wins.
- 4Without a record, nobody can follow up on quotes that were never answered.

Quotations: questions owners ask
- Can I create quotations in the POS?
- Yes. A sale can be saved as a quotation instead of being finalised. It keeps its own number and appears in the quotations list.
- Does a quotation take stock out of inventory?
- No. Stock only moves when the quotation is converted and finalised as a sale.
- How do I turn an accepted quote into an invoice?
- Open the quotation, make any changes, and finalise it as the sale, paid now or on the customer's account.
- Can I send the quote by email or WhatsApp?
- You can print it or save it as a PDF and send that file however you like, including WhatsApp, which most UAE and Pakistan customers prefer.
- Do contractor prices apply on quotes?
- Yes. Choose the customer first and their customer group or selling-price group applies to every line.
- Can a quote have lines in different units?
- Yes. Each line can be a box, a piece, a metre or any unit set on the item.
- Can I see which quotes were never accepted?
- Yes. Open quotations stay in the quotations list until converted or deleted, which makes a simple follow-up list.
- Can I put my terms and validity on the quote?
- Yes. Your invoice layout carries your logo, address, tax numbers and terms text, including how long the quote is valid.
