Sign up and create your hardware store business: name, currency, tax, financial year and language.

    Open the sign-up page

    Choose Start free trial and enter your name, email and a password.

    Enter business details

    Business name, start date, currency (USD, AED or PKR) and time zone.

    Set the financial year

    Pick the month your financial year starts so reports line up with your accountant.

    Choose your language

    Pick the interface language for your user; staff can choose their own later.

    Finish and log in

    You land on the dashboard with a default location you can rename.

Before you start

Have your tax registration number (state sales tax permit, UAE TRN, or NTN/STRN) to hand. You can add it later, but invoices look right from day one if it is there.

Good defaults for hardware stores

  • Currency symbol placement: before the number for USD; AED and PKR stores often prefer the code before the number.
  • Decimal places: 2 for prices. Quantities can allow decimals for units like metres or kilograms.
  • Date format: MM/DD/YYYY in the USA; DD/MM/YYYY in the UAE and Pakistan.

Can I change the currency later?
Change it before you record sales. After that, start a new business for a different currency so reports stay consistent.
